Speaker: Dan Baxter
Title: Taking a Photograph of Dark Matter

Dan works in experimental particle astrophysics on the direct detection of dark matter. Dan’s main research focuses on using CCDs to search for dark matter with the DAMIC at SNOLAB and DAMIC-M collaborations. Dan helped lead the effort to develop the first radioactive background model for the CCD detector at SNOLAB and is in charge of commissioning a new low background detector for DAMIC-M at the Modane Underground Laboratory in France.
