Science from 90 South
The South Pole Telescope (SPT) is a 10-meter millimeter-wavelength telescope located at the geographic South Pole, one of the world’s premier sites for millimeter-wavelength astronomical observations. It is optimized for observations of the cosmic microwave background, the relic afterglow of the Big Bang explosion 14 billion years ago. In this talk I will describe the data we’ve acquired with this world class telescope and what we are learning about our Universe, from its earliest moments to its ultimate fate. Along the way I’ll also provide some insights on what it’s like to travel to, live, and work at one of the most remote research stations on Earth.

I think you mean Thursday as all of the dates listed are the fourth THURSDAY, not Tuesday.
