Bird Watching on a Beautiful Morning

Our fledgling (pun intended) bird watching group went out for our first stroll of the spring on Tuesday. What a glorious morning it was – clear, crisp and quiet. Quiet except for many birds winging their way along the banks of the river, flying over and back again. The only other sounds that we heard was the trickling of water falling over the rocks into the river. Yes, there are waterfalls along the river! What birds did we see?  Remember we are new to this adventure – black birds, cardinal, goldfinch and swallows. We watched a graceful green heron glide over the water and land in a tree. As new users of binoculars, we were thrilled that we could find him across the river!  Please let us know if you are interested in joining us.
