We will be meeting at the Sulzer Regional Library. Tana Durnbaugh and Pat Wilder are organizing this group .
We use the 2017 Great Decisions booklet of 8 foreign policy articles, each about 10-12 pages in length (with photos and maps). In addition, at each session we watch the corresponding video (about 30 minutes long) for the applicable topic which provides more information.
You need know nothing about the topic, nor do you need to do any further reading, in order to participate. The article and video provide enough information. The booklet provides discussion questions, but often the person or persons leading the discussion of that topic will come up with questions to discuss. In addition to the article and video, however, the Great Decisions web site provides a glossary of terms and items for further reading if you wish to “dig deeper.”
All of this material comes from the Foreign Policy Association, a non-partisan group dedicated to educating Americans about foreign policy.
