Forward Chicago Secretary and Founding Board Member
Dara Salk is a member of Riverbank Neighbors, stewards along the Chicago River near Berteau Avenue, and has lived in the neighborhood for 40 years.
She currently works as the community outreach director for 47th Ward Alderman Ameya Pawar, where she oversees various volunteer initiatives such as the Lincoln Square Friendship Center (a food and pet food pantry), 47th Ward Council, Green Council and Senior Council.
Dara’s career in rehabilitation counseling, executive placement and as a volunteer for the Chicago Waldorf School have all informed her decision to work for an alderman who believes in the importance of creating strong communities for all.
