Forward Chicago Vice President and Founding Board Member
Helene Wineberg is a lifelong Chicago resident and has been active in a number of community initiatives and organizations, including the 47th Ward Senior Council. She is a nurse by training and was CFO for a family-owned residential real estate development corporation for a large part of her professional life.
Due to her interest in aging, Helene recently completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology, focusing on gerontology. She combines her interest in housing and aging with Forward Chicago, ensuring residents’ ability to remain active, engaged and influential as they age.
Helene is very interested in finding housing solutions that support residents wishing to remain in their community, in the setting most suitable for their future needs as they age in place.
