After living in the northern suburbs for over 20 years, our family was ready for a big change. We spent a year looking at many north side neighborhoods, and when we found North Center/Lincoln Square, we knew we had found our new home. What a good move this has been for us! The small town atmosphere, the wonderful restaurants, shopping and cultural events have shown us all what we had been missing in the suburbs. It didn’t take long before we felt at home. We feel like a valued part of the community after only a year and a half, and plan on making this our home for years to come.
After exploring many restaurants and stores in our short time here, we’ve come up with a couple favorites. Brown Trout is a casual, fine dining restaurant where the menu changes daily. It’s fantastic. We love to go there for a relaxing dinner.
The Book Cellar, in the heart of Lincoln Square, is an independently owned book store and café. It has an old fashioned and unique feel and their sandwiches are wonderful. They have a large selection of books, and can order anything if not in stock.
