You missed it!! Oct 10 found us in merry ole England enjoying British fare including fish and chips, spotted dick and a selection of fine beers at The Red Lion. This was the first of Forward Chicago’s monthly ethnic “dining around the ward” dinners held the second Thursday evening of the month.
We were a small but lively group of long time and newer residents of the area. The older residents reminisced about the neighborhoods of the past comparing them to our more modern often impersonal neighborhoods. Whether newcomers or old timers, all shared a hope and positive vision for the future of our city starting in our own backyards.
This is the vision of Forward Chicago so won’t you join us next month (November 14th) when we travel to France dining at Chez Simo Bistro?
Bring your memories, your ideas, your interests to share and maybe you’ll even meet a person you didn’t even know living on your block. All this to look forward to and yummy French food too! What could be better?? C’est si bon!!!
