Chicago is a known destination for tourists and students who visit our world-class architecture. We have heard of Louis Sullivan, Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe; however, there are many more we haven’t learned about, but whose work we have admired for many years.
For the very first time, some of our neighborhood’s architectural wonders are included in the annual Open House Chicago.
Have you ever wanted to see the inside of Chicago’s architectural gems, but didn’t know how to go about it?
On Oct. 18-19, you may! Whether you want to stay local or make a date with a friend to visit another exciting neighborhood, you will have a wonderful time. Best of all: Entrance is FREE!
Check out the many unique buildings included in Open House Chicago. Some are more wonders in placement; how, for instance, did an airstream get perched on top of 1807 W. Sunnyside?
Let us know in the comments which ones you get to see in person!
